Urban Design for Dianzhong Residential Cultural Park of Yuxi City, Yunnan Province

This project is located in the new urban area of Yuxi City, Yunnan Province with a planned area of about 1.64Km2. Based on the planning theory “enjoying beautiful landscape, living like poets”, this project focuses on displaying Dianzhong residential culture, serves as a new facilitator to improve and supplement northern ecological cultural zone, and a city card of Yuxi featuring tourism and culture.
The buildings, inheriting traditional “one seal”, are symmetrical in profile, in picturesque disorder and square arrangement with reasonable function, integrated layout, which implies the essence of Confucianism and shows the advantages of abundant indications. The buildings are adopted with new design principles of “one seal”, improving construction structure on the basis of inheriting, absorbing, innovating, creating, increasing a complete set of apartments, adjusting room scale, so as to adapt to modern liable life style.
